To ask the Minister for Health his plans to improve the services available for children with spina bifida who are required to attend for medical services in Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin; the timeframe for the improvement and provision of services; and if the services available in the hospital will be on par with those available for children with the condition in Temple Street Children's University Hospital. The HSE National Service Plan 2018 includes a commitment to continue the development of urology services for children with spina bifida.
In relation to improving these services for children, as it is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to you directly as soon as possible.
