228. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason cleaners in the State examinations centre in his Department are only paid in respect of overtime at the rate of 1.5 times the overtime rate at the first point of the scale, as opposed to double the rate of pay which is applicable to other personnel who are paid appropriately at the relevant point of the scale they are on at that stage; and if this rate can be applied to cleaners and other personnel in the State examinations centre.
