An application for domiciliary care allowance (DCA) was received from this lady on the 28^thAugust 2017. This application was not allowed as the child was not considered to satisfy the qualifying conditions for the allowance. A letter issued on the 23rd November 2017 outlining the decision of the deciding officer to refuse the allowance.

An appeal of the decision was requested on the 28^thDecember 2017. As part of the appeal process the DCA claim was reviewed by a deciding officer who determined that a revised decision was not warranted. The lady concerned was notified of this decision on the 26^thMarch 2018. The application has now been forwarded to the Social Welfare Appeals Office for further consideration.
