1446. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a partial capacity benefit application by a person (details supplied); when a decision will issue; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16055/18]

The person concerned applied for partial capacity benefit and has been assessed as medically eligible for this scheme with a severe level of restriction on his capacity for work. This means that he will be entitled to 75% of his illness benefit rate should he choose to commence work.
