Transfer of Entitlements

To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if a farmer that as part of an agreement to lease land transfers their BPS entitlements to the leasee can recover these entitlements along with the land at the termination of the lease; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Entitlements transferred by farmers by way of lease to a third party will revert to the farmer at the end of the relevant scheme year of the lease period. The reversion of entitlements on expiry of a lease is not considered a transfer of entitlements.

Entitlements transferred by farmers by way of lease to a third party will revert to the farmer at the end of the relevant scheme year of the lease period. The reversion of entitlements on expiry of a lease is not considered a transfer of entitlements. Transfers of entitlements by way of lease may be with or without land.
