429. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of staff working in the social welfare appeals office; the estimated full year cost of increasing the number of staff by 10%; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14749/18]

There are currently 82 staff (78.05 full-time equivalent) working in the Social Welfare Appeals Office.

The full year cost of increasing the staff complement by 10% would amount to approximately €375,000.
