County Wexford contains 616 Small Areas. Small Areas are the lowest level of geography at which Census data is produced and typically contain between 50 and 200 dwellings. These were designed by the National Institute of Regional and Spatial Analysis (NIRSA) on behalf of the Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) and in consultation with the Central Statistics Office. Small Areas are nested within Electoral Division boundaries.
