981. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the correct rate of jobseeker's allowance in the case of a person (details supplied); the reason for a deduction in the payable rate; when arrears following a recent successful appeal will issue; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Following an appeal decision the person concerned has been awarded a jobseekers allowance at the full personal rate of €193 plus fuel allowance of €22.50 with effect from 9/2/18.

Arrears arising from the appeal decision will be calculated having regard to changes in the circumstances of the person concerned. A decision on the amount of arrears due will be issued in the near future.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
