To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of fines issued by the revenue protection unit at Irish Rail in the past three years; the number of fines that were appealed; the number of successful appeals; the way in which the moneys collected from fines is used by Irish Rail; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of passengers travelling on the Galway to Limerick railway service annually based on the annual National Transport Authority annual survey or an Iarnród Éireann surveys; the way in which this compares with the original projections for the service when it re-opened; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
