There are no children detained in adult prisons. All children who have been sentenced to a period of detention by the Courts are detained in Oberstown Children Detention Campus. The policy to end children being detained in adult facilities has been achieved with effect from the 31^stMarch 2017. In the circumstances, I do not need to liaise with the Irish Prison Service in relation to children.
