268. To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a number of programmes which involve giving assistance to vulnerable young persons and special needs children on an occasional basis, which is done without payment and within a school setting, have been discontinued due to the fact the host organisations have incorrectly interpreted the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts, 2012 to 2016, as applying in this situation; the steps she will take to clarify the situation to enable these useful and successful interactions to resume (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. I assume that the Deputy is referring to the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016.  I have no responsibility in relation to this legislation, which is under the remit of my colleague, the Minister for Justice and Equality.
