115. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if a school (details supplied) is being considered for a new school on a greenfield site in view of its increasing pupil numbers and the fact that its lease is out in 2022; if so, the timeframe for same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that my Department received a major capital application from the school to which the Deputy refers for the development of a new school building.

A project for the school has not been included in my Department's 6 Year Capital Programme and it is, therefore, not possible to provide an indicative timeframe for the delivery of a major project for the school at this time.

In regard to the increasing enrolements, I wish to advise that my Department has recently granted approval to the school for the provision of additional rented accommodation to facilitate the appointment of a developing teaching post.
