The Department carried out an investigation into the submission of support documentation in relation to certain claims under the non-productive capital investment action of AEOS. The Department's Investigations Division were involved and the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigations was consulted.  These investigations have been concluded.

All applications under the scheme that were held for payment pending the above investigation have been reviewed and decisions have been made in all cases. I understand that some of these cases were subsequently appealed to the Agriculture Appeals Office which upheld the original Department decisions on these cases.
