The appointment of a new Director is a matter, in the first instance, for the Board of Irish Museum of Modern Art, subject to my approval after consultation with the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform. My Department is currently in discussion with IMMA and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform regarding the terms and conditions relating to this post. It is hoped to conclude this matter shortly and once it has been finalised the position will then be advertised.
In the interim, an acting Director has been appointed by the Board who will remain in place until the appointment of the new Director.
