608. Backdating of the Invalidity Pension claim of the lady concerned has been considered and the claim has now been awarded from 06 July 2017, i.e. from the first Thursday following receipt of her Disability Allowance application. Arrears for the period 06 July 2017 to the 17 January 2018 (less any overlapping social welfare payment) will issue to her nominated bank account on 25 January 2018. She was notified of this decision on the 22 January 2018.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
