A National Review of Specialist Cardiac Services is being undertaken. It will incorporate rigorous reviews of evidence and data, international peer review and stakeholder consultation. Any proposal for additional capacity in hospitals would need to be made in context of the findings of this review.

In relation to the specific query raised, as this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to you directly.
