Draft regulations to facilitate the commencement of Parts 2 and 3 of the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 are being prepared. My Department is also working to resolve a small number of technical issues in order to ensure that the processes associated with Parts 2 and 3 of the Act can be commenced as soon as possible. Section 26 of the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 allows a transition period for the use of gametes and embryos acquired on an anonymous basis.
