122. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 56 of 1 June 2017, if the change indicated has been completed; if the Courts Service has started issuing summonses containing the updated requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, under the provisions of the Courts Service Act 1998, management of the courts is the responsibility of the Courts Service, which is independent in exercising its functions, which include the provision of information on the courts system.

However, in order to be of assistance to the Deputy, I have had enquiries made and the Courts Service has informed me that the change to the wording on the summonses following the amendment of Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 was completed and implemented with effect from 26 June 2017 and since then summonses have been issued with the revised wording.
