127. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if his attention has been drawn to the fact that at Faro Airport in Portugal Irish tourists are required to go through separate passport control from those of other EU countries; the reason for same; if his attention was not drawn to the fact, if inquiries will be made with the Portuguese authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am aware of certain technical issues that have arisen for Irish passport holders going through the ‘Rapid’ self-service system at Faro.
