To ask the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 152 and 153 of 14 November 2017, the rationale for his inaction in view of the fact that an organisation (details supplied) and the CEO of a company have expressed concern regarding the matter and have asked that it be addressed; and his plans to take action regrading same. Adherence to appropriate copyright requirements is the responsibility of individual school management. The Department advises schools of their responsibilities in this regards and supports schools in developing policies to address such issues. The Department provides access to educational resources online via the Scoilnet portal, to ensure a wide range of relevant teaching resources are freely accessible for schools and teachers. No copyright issue arise in relation to such access.
