196. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount of funding provided by the National Transport Authority to date in 2017 to each of the seven greater Dublin area local authorities from the sustainable transport grant programme; his views on whether this funding will be fully drawn down by year end; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Sustainable Transport Measures Grants (STMG) programme, my Department provides funding to the National Transport Authority (NTA) for the implementation of sustainable transport projects including cycling and walking infrastructure; Quality Bus Corridors; road safety and accessibility schemes; and traffic management projects throughout the seven local authorities in the Greater Dublin Area.

As the NTA is responsible for the management of the funding allocations to each local authority, I have referred your question to the NTA for a more detailed reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
