Following the declaration of a status red weather warning by Met Éireann on Sunday 15th October 2017, an email was issued to staff in my Department from the Head of Corporate Affairs to advise them that they should remain at home and indoors on 16th October 2017. Those who could work remotely were advised to do so. A small number of staff attended work on 16th October 2017, including those involved in the work of the National Emergency Coordination Group, and a small number of staff providing emergency cover in Corporate Affairs Division, Cabinet Secretariat and the Taoiseach's Private Office.
