To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the reason contracts have not been signed in relation to necessary upgrading works at Ballinasloe Garda station which were due to begin in October 2017; when these works are scheduled to commence in view of health and safety issues at the station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is expected that tender evaluation for the works for Ballinsloe Garda Station will be completed in the near future, following which a contract should be placed by the end of the year.
