To ask the Minister for Finance if persons whose credit record has been affected by being wrongly denied a tracker mortgage rate or as a result of being on a less favourable tracker rate have been notified of this fact; the steps that are being taken to address this problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy may wish to note that the Central Bank's document "Principles for Redress" in relation to the tracker mortgage examination provides, inter alia, that the credit rating of impacted customers is to be corrected as soon as possible by the lender and that copies of an updated credit rating are to be provided free of charge to impacted customers.
