997. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the statistics for collisions and accidents on the M50 to date in 2017; specifically between junction 11 and junction 13; the delays that these incidents have on traffic across the city, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport, I have responsibility for overall policy and funding in relation to the national roads programme.  The planning, design and implementation of individual road projects is a matter for the Transport Infrastructure Ireland  under the Roads Acts 1993-2015 in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.

Collision data for national roads is mapped and collated by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). Accordingly I am forwarding your query to TII for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
