230. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the amount of funding per annum charities and government agencies (details supplied) received for 2016 or the nearest available year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43658/17]

The National Women's Council of Ireland received €400,000 from the Department of Justice and Equality.

The Rape Crisis Network Ireland received €85,000 from the Department of Justice and Equality.

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is accountable directly to the Oireachtas and is funded through Vote 25. The final appropriation accounts for 2016 are currently awaited, but the estimate provision was €6.306m and the outturn was €6.208m.
