A request for a review of State pension non-contributory was received from the person concerned on 27 February 2017. A Deciding Officer reviewed the case and awarded an increase in the person’s pension to the maximum weekly rate payable, with effect from 11 August 2017.

I have asked my officials to review the decision in this case as a matter of urgency and to contact the person concerned directly to discuss this matter further.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
