105. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he has satisfied himself that fire safety regulations have been met for the absolute safety of the pupils and staff at a school (details supplied) in view of his Department's recent announcement to carry out fire safety audits at an additional 31 schools, all built in recent years by a company at the centre of fire safety breaches identified at another six schools. The Principal and the Board of Management for the school to which the Deputy refers have not raised any concerns with my Department with regard to fire safety in its existing accommodation.

The Deputy will also be aware that a major school building project to provide completely new accommodation for the school is at an advanced stage of the architectural planning process. My Department has recently informed the Board of Management for the school that it can proceed to the tender stage to appoint a Building Contractor to complete the project.
