To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection when a person (details supplied) whose social welfare appeal in respect of refusal of an application for disability allowance was recently allowed will receive payment of same; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I confirm that my department was recently notified by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that the appeal for this gentleman was successful.
His case is currently with a deciding officer to implement the appeals officer’s decision and he will be notified in writing as soon as possible.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
