525. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the estimated cost for taxi drivers to recalibrate meters when fares are increased by the NTA. [41519/17]

Firstly, I should explain that the regulation of the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2013. Accordingly, fare changes and associated recalibration issues are a matter for the NTA.

However, in order to be of assistance, I have referred your question to the NTA for direct reply to you. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within 10 working days.
