To ask the Minister for Health the arrangements in place to ensure compliance with the terms of public hospital consultant contracts in respect of public and private work; the number of cases in each of the past ten years where the limit on private work was breached; the number and value of all financial sanctions imposed; the actual amount of moneys recouped in this regard; his views on the effectiveness of these arrangements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
