1518. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the reason a person is deemed unavailable for work for the entire month rather than two days and a jobseeker's payment refused completely rather than for two days in a circumstance (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. To qualify for a jobseeker's payment, a person must satisfy certain scheme conditions which include being available for and genuinely seeking full-time employment. If the Deputy provides further details of the case in question, I will ask my officials to follow it up.
