To ask the Minister for Health the number of persons in the psychiatric department at University Hospital Galway that are medically fit for discharge but cannot be discharged for reasons external to the hospital, including the absence of appropriate accommodation; the reasons for preventing discharge; the steps being taken to solve these difficulties; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
