Details of provisional expenditure in respect of my Department and all Government Departments are published at Vote level by the Department of Finance on a monthly basis. It is difficult to assess the full year expenditure for my Department at this point in time, as we are only just over half way through the year. My Department has responsibility for a very broad and diverse range of projects and programmes and work is ongoing on delivering these programmes. The end of year outturn will be impacted by the cost and timing of delivery and unexpected delays can occur in the drawdown of funding by grantees from time to time. Expenditure trends are kept under review and will continue to be carefully monitored up to year end to ensure the best and most efficient use of available financial resources.
