To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of fisheries protection officers employed by Inland Fisheries Ireland in each of the years 2005 to 2016; the number of man hours spent on patrol to protect the fisheries resources in each of those years, in tabular form; the number of protection officers which have been transferred to alternative roles in the organisation between 2005 and 2016; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
