Agriculture Scheme Payments

1697. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the maximum payment that can be granted to any one person for the greening payment under pillar 1 here in one scheme year; the total greening payment values in 2016 according to amounts (details supplied); and the number of herdowners paid, in tabular form. The value of the Greening payment per eligible farmer is calculated as a fixed percentage of the total value of entitlements activated by that farmer. Currently the fixed percentage stands at approximately 44%. This fixed percentage is calculated annually by dividing the Greening ceiling for that year by the total value of all payment entitlements activated in that year and as such the fixed percentage may vary from year to year as the number of activated entitlements changes depending on applications in a particular year.
The following table sets out the number of farmers and greening payments in the range provided by the Deputy.
