To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if his attention has been drawn to the fact that persons employed by Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board are being offered contracts of indefinite duration on an annualised salary and are being asked to make a retrospective pension contribution despite being previously informed that they have no pension entitlement; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The matters referred to by the Deputy are employment issues between the employees concerned and their employer, Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board.  The employees concerned should raise the matters with their employer in the first instance.  Officials in my Department are available to advise the employer if required to do so.
