104. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of persons each year since 2012 petitioned into bankruptcy by a fund on debt purchased by the fund from a bank; the number of these cases in which assets were surrendered prior to the bankruptcy and residual debt remained; the number of these cases in which the family home was lost as a result of the bankruptcy; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland that since 2012, one person was petitioned into bankruptcy by a debt purchasing company. The debtor was adjudicated bankrupt in December 2016, and is still resident in the family home.
