206. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if in evaluating schools (details supplied) the schools were considered as being urban or rural, in view of their location on the city-county border in advance of the February 2017 announcement. [25928/17]

As both schools are within the boundaries of Cork city and suburbs as defined by the CSO, both schools were classified 'Urban' for the purposes of the DEIS Plan 2017.  This designation is in line with UN criteria for Urban and Rural designation.
