To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of persons summonsed to court listed cases for not paying a fixed charge notice relating to driving while holding a mobile telephone and convicted of this offence, per district court in each of the years 2015 to 2016 and to date in 2017; the number of licences recorded upon conviction of this offence, summons struck out and not served for this offence, per district court in each of the years 2015 and 2016 and to date in 2017; the reasons for non-conviction of this offence, per district court in each of the years 2015 to 2016 and to date in 2017; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
