To ask the Minister for Health the number of persons that have been invited to take part in BowelScreen since the programme began in 2012, in tabular form; the number of persons that have taken part; the number of incidences of bowel cancer detected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. BowelScreen, the National Bowel Screening Programme offers free bowel screening to men and women aged 60-69. The number of clients within this target cohort that have been invited to take part in BowelScreen since it began in 2012, the number of clients who consented to participate in the programme, the number of clients who carried out screening with a home test, and the number of cancers detected are outlined in the table.
