To ask the Minister for Education and Skills following an appeal by a person (details supplied) who is seeking accommodation for either a reader or a waiver from the assessment of spelling, grammar and punctuation in language subjects under the reasonable accommodations in the certificate examinations, RACE, scheme, when will this be provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations. The Commission in this regard operates a scheme of Reasonable Accommodations in the Certificate Examinations.
