1236. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 469 of 28 March 2017, if he will check his Department's records, in view of the fact no contact has been made with the person (details supplied) and the matter raised is far from resolved; if he will also request Bord Bia to respond to the person in view of the fact this agency has not engaged with them either; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department is currently in direct contact with the person concerned with a view to exploring the best options for facilitating his request.

I can also confirm that Bord Bia have been in contact with the person concerned.

My Department aims to ensure that the needs of all its customers, including people with disabilities are met and that the rights of equal treatment are upheld in the delivery of services.

In accordance with Section 26(2) of the Disability Act 2005, my Department has appointed two Access Officers who are responsible for providing or arranging for, and co-ordinating assistance and guidance to persons with disabilities accessing services provided by offices and generally to act as a point of contact for people wishing to access such services.
