To ask the Minister for Health the basis on which the HSE may contemplate action likely to result in the closure of or down scaling of activity at St Brigid's Hospital, Crooksling, in view of the serious bed shortage that exists; if bed shortages are likely to feature for a considerable time into the future and that the services and facilities at the hospital will remain an urgent requirement; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
