To ask the Minister for Health the steps he will take to review all the evidence relating to the drug Respreeza objectively and enter into meaningful discussions with a company (details supplied) in order to find a solution that will make Respreeza available for persons with alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency as soon as possible. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the administration of the community drug schemes; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
