In order to qualify for the 2017 Young Farmers Scheme, applicants must have successfully completed a recognised course of education in agriculture giving rise to an award at FETAC Level 6 or its equivalent by the 15th May 2017.
There is no restriction on the date of award of the relevant educational qualification from previous years. The full list of agricultural educational qualifications equivalent to FETAC Level 6 for the purposes of eligibility for the 2017 Young Farmers Scheme is set out at Appendix A of the scheme Terms and Conditions on my Department’s website.
