The Civil Registration Service is operated by the Health Service Executive (HSE) on behalf of the General Registrar's Office under the aegis of the Department of Social Protection.

While this is a matter for the Local Registrar, I have been informed that staff from the Office of the Registrar General will contact the individual directly with a view to regularising their issue.
