An application under the 2014 Single Payment Scheme (SPS) was received from the person named on 14 May 2014 declaring a total of 6.26 hectares comprised of 3.71 forestry, which had been afforested in 2010, and 2.55 forage.

Under the Terms and Conditions of the Single Payment Scheme, applicants who afforested part of their holding from 2009 onwards and wish to benefit from the Single Payment Scheme, must have retained at least 10% of the eligible hectares declared in 2008 by the applicant or their predecessor in an agricultural activity subject to a minimum of 3 hectares, whichever is the greater. As the person named had declared 64.33 hectares on the 2008 Single Payment Scheme application the minimum to be retained was 6.43 hectares. The additional parcel referred to would bring the total eligible land to 3.38 hectares but would unfortunately not meet the minimum 10% requirement.
