As InterTrade Ireland is based in Newry, its working currency is sterling. Exchange rate fluctuations between the euro and sterling can therefore impact on the level of the Department's financial contributions to the Body.

The total amount of annual funding provided by my Department to InterTrade Ireland from 2014-2016 was as follows:-

YearAmount
2014€7.762m
2015€7.840m
2016€7.560m

The allocation for 2017 amounts to €7.960 million, of which €831,000 has been transferred to date.
