72. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the documentation and other requirements a Syrian national would be required to provide in order to obtain a category C visitor's visa for 90 days to visit family here, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15728/17]

I am advised by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) of my Department that visa application procedures for a short-stay visa (category C) for Syrian nationals are the same as applies to all other visa required nationalities. The applicant must submit an application through the on-line visa application system which can be found on the INIS website and the websites of all Irish consular missions abroad.
Applicants must then pay the visa application fee and forward to the relevant processing office their passport, a signed copy of a summary sheet of the on-line application, proof of payment of the fee, and all other required documents. Instructions about where to pay, documents required, and where to send all documentation are provided on the summary sheet which is generated from the on-line process. Comprehensive information on the application process is available on the INIS website at
As with any visa application, each application is assessed individually based on its own merits and having regard to all the information put forward for consideration.
